Twenty-Three Agents Arrived in Waco for the Spring Bond Seminar

Last Wednesday, twenty-three agents and CSRs from across the state, and as far afield as Albuquerque, New Mexico arrived in Waco for the Spring Bond Seminar.

Led by Somers Goodman, VP of Surety, over the course of two days participants deepened their understanding of commercial and contract surety through live lectures, panel discussions and case studies. Over the lunches and a Happy Hour at a local Irish Pub, the participants were able to network with each other and the Insurors Indemnity underwriting team. The feedback from many participants highlights the value of getting to hear new ideas from other agents and having the chance to build relationships with the underwriting team.

On the final morning of the seminar, Tom Chase and Jason Youens led a session on how to build a profitable surety book. Both have a successful track record in building up a surety book and the addition of this recent component to the seminar received high marks from participants. By covering how to prospect for surety business and sharing what their past successes and failures have taught them, the session provided the practical steps agents could take on Monday morning when they got back so they could put what they learned into practice.

Thank you to the agents who attended the Spring Bond Seminar, the Insurors Indemnity team enjoyed hosting you and look forward to seeing you put your new surety knowledge to work!
